Brooks Simpson is one of the world’s leading authorities on the life, times, and career of Ulysses S. Grant. Professor Simpson was kind enough to come on the “Leaders and Legends” podcast to discuss a man whom I consider the most compelling figure of the American Civil War—yes, even more than Abraham Lincoln.
